Festive Style Tips

The Christmas season can be very fun: lots of parties, meet ups with friends and opportunities to get into the festive party mood. This can also mean you need an array of outfits to suit different occasions, but there’s always a worry to  stay stylish without looking like you’ve stolen all the decorations off the Christmas tree! Don’t panic we’ve got some style tips to help make sure you look festive yet chic.
Christmas Work Party
Its your Christmas work party you want to get the balance right between sexy and festive, just because its Christmas doesn’t mean you need to go crazy with sequins and glitter. This is the perfect occasion for the little black dress, a classic staple that’s great for parties. We like it styled with a clutch and delicate gold jewelry.

Add– if you want to add an injection some color, team with colorful sandals or clutch. Just keep the color palette consistent with the rest of your look, you don’t need to wear all the colors of the rainbow.

Twist– if you not a dress girl, a chic black jumpsuit would work equally as well. Just accessorize with gold belt to execute your waist and strappy high heel sandals.

Festive lunch with friends

The few weeks before Christmas are always filled with Christmas lunches, brunches or dinners with friends. Don’t fall into the trap of wearing a xmas sweater just because its this time of the year. Don’t worry we’ve all made those mistakes! Get into the festive spirit with an embellished cable knit sweater. It will not only keep you warm but sure you’re elegantly festive too.

Add – a skinny jeans or leather pants for a laid back look.

Twist– a sweater dress and booties will work well too, cinch it in with a wide belt to emphasize your waist and prevent you from looking like you’re wearing an oversize tent.

Christmas Day
Christmas day is all about over indulging and enjoying yourself. The last thing you want is to worry about your outfit, so comfort is key here. That doesn’t mean you can’t look good in the process. Keep it simple with loose wide leg pants and a printed top.

Add – statement chandelier earrings, will add a glamour touch. To ensure they give the full effect sweep your hair into a low ponytail, plus it’ll mean you hair won’t get in the way when your doing all that present unwrapping!

Twist – If you’re looking for something a bit more glamorous. Add a shirt underneath a sequin or velvet slip dress, ensures you’re have a dose of glamour without going over the top

New Years Eve
New years eve is one of the times of the year when you can go, full glamour! Why not end the year looking absolutely fabulous, plus even the night goes all down hill and you end up looking worse for wear by the end of the night at least you started the evening look your best! Instead of wearing the usual sequin dress, which not go for a rock and roll inspired look. We’re thinking Kate Moss, á la glam rock: fur coat, leather pants, leopard print, high heels etc

Add – Thick black eyeliner, the messier the better. Swap the fur coat for a feather bolero or fringe jacket, but remember you want edgy not pretty.

Twist - if you hate the idea of not wearing a dress for new year’s eve, continue the rock glam vibes with a mini one-shoulder dress, we’re thinking Saint Laurent AW2016. Just add fishnet tights and pointed toe pumps.

We hope you picked up a few useful tips, the key is to keep is simple. If you’re ever in doubt stick to odd favorites that make you look and feel good. Just add some sparkly accessories to get you in the festive mood!
