Raised in a traditional Chinese family in Hong Kong and educated in the US, Sarah Lai started her career in finance, all the while immersing herself in the fashion scene. She inherited her maternal grandmother’s exquisite taste and elegance along with her mother’s poise, sense of purpose and determination. She launched her eponymous Sarah Lai line of clothing in 2013 and has since signed up with a showroom in New York. This up-and-coming designer is sure to be seen as a global brand in no time.
She describes her personal style as elegant, sophisticated, and timeless – A style that echoes throughout her designs. Her label seeks to intertwine this quaint allure with the freedom and functionality of the modern day women’s wardrobe.
We’re super excited to spend an afternoon with Sarah, discussing all things fashion!
